1968

Kaiser & Waltermann is founded on 01.09.1968 by Bernhard Kaiser and Johannes Waltermann as manufacturing company of tubular rivets. The range of products comprises tubular rivets according to DIN 7340 and fine tube components.

1969

After a short start-up period as a "garage operation", suitable premises are rented in Amecke-Illingheim and the production of tubular rivets is extended.

1971

At today’s site in Sundern-Amecke the construction of first office and company premises is accomplished. The number of production machines is increased to 25.

1979

A three-storey extension is added to this building and the number of machines increases to 60. A warehouse is also set up.

1997

A new office building is constructed and an additional neighbouring plot of 6000 square metres is acquired. Responding to increasing requirements of the plastic industry, the product line is extended by the surface finishing “vibratory grinding” (trowalizing).

1998

A new 840 square metre warehouse with a separate approach road and goods receiving area is constructed.

1999

Operation in the new warehouse starts. First certifications according to DIN EN ISO 9002 are received. At the same time an internal reorganization and modernization is carried out to adapt the company’s structures to its development.

2000

The former general partnership is converted into a limited company on 01.01.2000. The board of the limited company comprises:

  • Bernhard Kaiser sen.
  • Johannes Waltermann
  • Bernhard Kaiser jun.
  • Hildegard Waltermann-Koger

2007

Magnus Bende joins Kaiser & Waltermann. With him the next generation starts to take over responsibility.

2008

Re-audit according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.

2009

To correspond to the general service idea, a packaging service is set up. From now on, Kaiser & Waltermann’s offer comprises additionally special packaging and labelling according to customers’ requirements.

2011

Participation in different trade fairs all over Europe.

2012

The board of the limited company is concentrated on:

  • Bernhard Kaiser jun.
  • Hildegard Waltermann-Koger

Re-audit of the environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2004. To carry on its successful development, Kaiser & Waltermann for the first time employs five apprentices.

2013

The stock of machines has now grown up to 160. These machines have all been constructed and built by the company's machine and toolmaking department. Corresponding to the company’s continuous progression an update of the Corporate Identity is conducted.

2014

Participation as exhibiting company in the trade fairs Light & Building at Frankfurt (Main) and IZB at Wolfsburg.

2016

Since summer 2016 Melanie Bende has joined the general management as the technical manager.
