The beginning and first expansion

In 1968, Kaiser & Waltermann was founded and began the production of tubular rivets according to DIN 7340 as well as other fine tube parts.

Already the following year, we expanded our operation from a garage to temporary building areas in Amecke-Illingheim in order to expand the production of tubular rivets.

New location

In 1971, we built our current location in Sundern-Amecke, including the first office and company building. Our machine park has been expanded to 25 machines.

Growth and storage capacities

We enlarged our existing buildings with a three-storey extension and set up a warehouse. The machine park has been expanded to 60 machines.

Modernisation

The company has been supplemented with a new administrative building and restructured in a modern way. An adjacent extension area of 6000 sqm was purchased. We introduced the surface finish "sliding grinding" to meet the increased requirements from the plastics industry.

Quality certification

In 1999, we received our first certification according to DIN EN ISO 9002 and commissioned the new warehouse of 840 sqm. At the same time, an internal restructuring was carried out in order to adapt our company structures to the development.

The foundation of the GmbH

On 1 January 2000, we converted the previous OHG into a GmbH. The management took over:

Focus on customer service

Special packaging and labelling according to customer requirements expand our range. Our field service is on the road for our customers in northern and southern Europe. 

Environmental management and training

In 2012, our environmental management system was re-audited according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2004. Since the start of training in 2012, for the first time, five trainees have been accepted into the workforce in 3 training occupations. Hildegard Waltermann-Koger and Bernd Kaiser are sole managing directors. 

Mechanical engineering

In the meantime, we have a machine park with 160 machines developed and manufactured in-house.

Participation in trade fairs

Kaiser & Waltermann participates in trade fairs throughout Europe and we celebrate our premiere as an exhibitor at the Light & Building in Frankfurt am Main and at the IZB in Wolfsburg to further strengthen our presence in the industry.

The third generation

As the third generation of the family, Melanie Bende as managing partner and Janina Koger as partner take on responsibility in the management of the company. This lays the foundation for the continuation of the company.

Bernd Kaiser hands over the management of sales and personnel to his son-in-law, Magnus Bende, who has been working in internal sales
and field service for Kaiser & Waltermann since 2007.

Growth through acquisition

By taking over the "Tube Processing" business unit from Stamo, we expanded our machine park and our product competence for sockets for connectors.

50 years of quality and success

In 2018, we proudly celebrated our 50th company anniversary together with friends, customers, suppliers and employees.

Production Technologist

For the first time, the profession of production technologist was trained.

Third generation complete

Janina Koger completes the third generation of the management and takes over the management of finance and IT. Bernhard Kaiser resigns as managing director.

The organisation will be restructured and expanded to include the Product and Project Management business division in order to further develop the technical consulting expertise.

Kaiser & Waltermann now provides training in five skilled occupations.
